George Romero Announces NEW …..of the Dead Title

After months of teasing about his latest Zombie flick George A. Romero has finally given his latest film a name. After going months with just being known as ….. of the Dead (Seriously!) He names his latest “Survival of the Dead”.

Survival of the Dead follows a war-weary band of soldiers who are lured to a remote island that promises to be the last paradise on earth, only to discover that even here there is no escape from the appetites of either the living or the dead.

    Enough already…this is some BS! This dude is doing to Zombie movies what George Lucas did to the Star Wars Franchise! "f" it all up! Must be somethign with the Georges and "F"ing up a franchise
    Hey romero ..call me when you have a budget and want a fresh Idea. I have one that'll be charachter driven and entertaining. Not like this crap you've been throwing at us for 2 decades.

    Wow Robert! Attacking a legend like this,hhmmm. I've kind of liked the fact that Romero has put himself back on the map this decade! People missed him and his work and now he's back and cranking a movie out every couple of years.Don't over think a zombie movie because that's exactly what it is,a zombie movie! The last one "Diary of the Dead" didn't do well in theaters and was harshed by critics because it was an indie flick.,it didn't have a huge budget and didn't need it eitherI actually liked it.

    Yeah I am with Brian on this one. Romero's first three of the Dead Films were obviously the best. But even then now with these last few movies he has brought something new to the table. Sure they haven't had the effect that movies like 28 days later had, but they still have kept the Zombie genre going. And it is going strong.

    He set the bar I agree…..but the time has come to be inventive, embrace new concepts and give the fans something more. There is alot that could be done with Zombie movies and no one has really pushed the envelop …just the same old thing over and over. Get creative and give us more. I lvoe the genre, but the same crap over and over again..i dont think so. For that i'll watch his original endeavors. (same with George Lucas…..all I have to do is watch Star Wars and Empire and I'm good…everything else is sprinkles)

    Well Robert,you can only do so much with zombies,vampires,Freddy.Jason,etc…..What we have here is a guy(the legend) keeping the genre alive!Romero is getting old too so enjoy the few that he has left in him.Remember he's doing it for us(the fans)So don't be too critical on this kind of movie.I will say that we do finallly have what i call the next generation of directors now and it took a while for us to get some future legends,ones likeAdam Green,Mike Dougherty,James Gunn,Darren Bousman,Joe Lynch,and Steven Miller who i think might be the new Zombie film king!"Automaton Transfusion",check it out Robert! I'm in a bad mood because i aint at Comic Con right now! Boooooo!
