My hopes for Stephen Sommers’ G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra are riding solely on the shoulders of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who is playing Cobra Commander. Because everything else I’ve seen from this movie so far, has been stomach churning and gag inducing. In this Japanese trailer for The Rise of Cobra we get a quick glimpse(and I do mean quick) of Joseph as the one and only Cobra Commander! Though this is pretty similar to the trailer we have here in the US, there are some other little tid-bits that we haven’t seen.
That is not JGL as Cobra Commander. He is playing "The Doctor" in this scene.

You know, this movie is probably going to be alright. At least as good as the mummy movies, and they weren't that bad. I don't think we should go to every movie expecting oscar level material. Sometimes I just want to go to a movie for a good time. Transformers 2 delivered that, and this movie probably will too. Curse you Dark Knight for raising the bar…….oh sorry baby, I can't stay mad at you.
now if only someone woudl get a great script for M.A.S.K. going………

Mask was a C grade G.I. Joe knock off a best I can list a load of other series more deserving of the big budget movie treatment. Some honorable mentions Jace and The Wheeled Warriors,
Gundam Wing, Voltron (coming soon), and Captain Planet if it's done as dark comedy or parody of it's self.
