Good News Everyone! FUTURAMA actors stay!

futurama

A few days ago we reported that Futurama was coming back but the original voice actors were going to be replaced. Now I am here to tell you that Fox caved and the originals are back.
According to the Toronto Star Fox has just signed a new contract with the Futurama voice actors after intense salary negotiations. Apparently those casting calls were supposedly part of a ploy to influence the negotiations. i bet that all of the uproar from fans being very displeased with the mere suggestion of replacing these actors, was more than likely the real reason why Fox decided to settle.

The Star reports

The compromise agreement, with the studio paying more and the actors accepting less, comes after the announcement of a 26-episode pick-up here by Comedy Central. Futurama also airs internationally in syndication, has produced four bestselling straight-to-DVD movies (later cut into episodes) and an upcoming feature film.

But apparently according to a Fox spokesperson, only three of the actors have officially signed but they expect to others to be signed shortly. This is great news for Futurama fans. I was very disappointed when they canceled it originally and just as pissed when I heard it was coming back with new actors. now it looks like all will be well in New New York. I cant wait for the new season to start. Score another for the fans against Fox!

Thank, all powerful Atheismo, Fox should pay them more, the show has been of the air for what six years, and all because of the dvd sales and syndication numbers, fox says hey you can come back now. Please, Fox has to be the most poorly operated network, although their executives could be useful as Torbo's Executive Powder, it does have a million and one uses.
