Hayao Miyazaki Makes an Apperance on the Disney Panel

If you are into anime then you know who I am talking about. For those of you who don’t know, he is a legendary director from Japan. He is responsible for such great films as Princess Mononoke and Howl’s Moving Castle.
Miyazaki is colaberating with Disney to bring his film Ponyo to the United States. Ponyo is about a 5 year old boy who befriends a goldfish princess who wants to become human.
We were shown a great clip from this film. It was a great ocean scene. It is really hard to believe that it all hand drawn. It turns out that talents like Matt Damon, Cate Blanchette, Liam Neeson and Tina Fey are lending their voices to the translation of this film. Just from the clip alone I know I would love to see this film. This film will be released on August 14th of this year.
If you are a fan of anime or just a fan of good movies I would suggest checking this out. Until next time, let me know what you think.

I am completely jealous of you guys right now!
they say they completely changed the storyline from the japanese to english dub. and it's pretty obvious when you see the trailers. ponyo is not trying to save the world, but actually she's running away D: jeez, this is why i hate dubs, specially disney ones.
I saw the movie. Ponyo falls in love with the little boy who saved her and becomes human.
Miyazaki received a standing ovation from the crowd and he said that he was very happy with the english collaboration. My favorite celebrity sighting of the Con so far.
