Intensely Emotional Trailer for the Film BROTHERS

The first trailer for director Jim Sheridan’s film Brothers has been released, and holy crap, does it sure look like an intense movie. Sheridan has directed some pretty great films such as In The Name of the Father, The Boxer, and In America. This one looks like it could possibly be one of those films that will be nominated for Best Picture in the new top ten film category.

“Brothers” is a film that uses the the Iraq / Afghanistan war as it’s back drop that propels the story forward. The film is an emotional story which follows a man who comforts his older brothers wife and kids after she gets word that her husband has gone missing in Afghanistan.

The movie has a fantastic cast which includes Natalie Portman, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Tobey Maguire.

This movie looks very heavy an emotional. Check out the trailer below and tell tell us what you think about it.

    Wow.
    Great trailer :)
Such a twist in the middle, and to put together such a cast is great.
I'm interested to see how this will come together in the theaters. I shall post it on my calendar now.
Sheridan, eh? Can't remember if I've seen anything by him. But i will look to see how his directing skills turned out.

Ever since Cider House Rules and October Sky came a while back ago, I had always thought Tobey and Jake were the same person, if not related. And now this movie confirms that other people think so too.

The twist kind of threw me off because it was such a drastic change in tone, but I'll still give it a shot.

Yeah, the tone took an ugly turn. I'm not usually that surprised by trailers. Gotta say though, this looks damn good.
