LET ME IN Audition Tape For the Role of The Girl Vampire

Update- Sorry for the inconvenience, due to legal crap we can no longer run the vid or artwork. Yeah…we know.

Yesterday we showed you a couple promo poster for the remake of the Swedish vampire film, Let the Right One In, which is now going to be called Let me In. Coverfield director Matt Reeves is the guy pushing the project forward, and pissing off a lot of fans of the original film along the way. Casting is currently underway and /film came across some video of three actresses auditioning for the lead female role of Eli, now named Abby.

The three actresses auditioning are: Ariel Winter, who played young Trixie in Speed Racer, Chloe Moretz who can be seen in 500 Days of Summer and also Hit Girl in Kick-Ass.  Then an unknown actress named Mary Mouser.

Check out the audition tapes below and let us know who you would cast in the role. Even though they are fine actresses they all lack what actress Lina Leandersson pulled off in the original, she brought a very old, and mature feel to her character. But if I had to choose I would have to pick Chloe Moretz, because out of the three actresses she was the best one.

I don't care who they cast, no two children will be able to duplicate or do better than Kåre and Lina. Some of the best child-acting I have ever seen. Two soulful, powerful performances. They're pop-culture icons at this point.

I agree 100%. What they're doing is criminal. This movie should not be remade.

is the american version going to show a 12 y/o vampire's oven door? nope. i hope the director catches a disease that makes him lose his sight so he can't finish the movie, and then i hope he can never have kids and maybe accidentally eats a kid due to being lied to in some other country where they eat kids.
