I would also see this for the same reason- Never got to see him in concert. But I agree that the ultimate beneficiaries of this kind of stuff SHOUlD be Jackson's kids and his debt ridden estate. I think that if Jackson's estate has the right people managing it, then that will happen since the major draw in these projects are Jackson's image and there is legal basis for law suits if the estate isn't compensated for copywrited material.
It makes me unbelievably sad that Michael's legacy is going to end up a spiderweb of litigations.

Honestly, I would see this. I never got a chance to see him in concert. The experience might not be the same but it is the closest one can get to attending the planned show. I am not the biggest fan of the 3D gimmick in movies, but if that's the way it was shot, that's how they should present it. Though in this case, I think seeing a posthumous 3D Michael Jackson might be too much for some people to handle. But you're right, it will sell either way, for better or for worse. And exploitative though it may be, I can't really see the studios NOT giving some of the proceeds away to his family. It only makes sense for their image and they may even be legally obligated to do so.
