New ABC Show DEFYING GRAVITY Promo Trailer and Info

Looking for some good TV sci-fi drama? We may have something here for you. There is a new show on ABC coming out called Defying Gravity. The show will be a 13-hour summer series that launches August 2, 2009, and is being described a…

…a sexy, provocative space thriller set in the very near future against the background of our solar system, in which eight astronauts from five countries (four women and four men) undertake a mysterious six-year international space mission covering eight billion miles. Hurtling into the vast challenge of infinite space, the eight astronauts and the ground personnel who support them are on a mission that has a powerful and awesome mystery at its core. The intimate and interconnected relationships among the astronauts and the ground crew, as well as their past actions, have a strangely karmic effect on the present.

Sound’s interesting, I’ll give it a go for sure. Defying Gravity was created by James Parriott, who created shows such as Grey’s Anatomy and Ugly Better. The biggest sell for the show for me is it’s star, Ron Livingston, who know know from movie and TV suff like, Office Space, and Band of Brothers. The show also stars, Laura Harris, from Dead Like Me, Christina Cox, from The Chronicles of Riddick, and Malik Yoba, from New York Undercover.

Here is the Promo trailer for the show. Check it out and tell us what you think!

its definately a different setting for a drama type show the "producer" of grey anatomy is the main part that's throwing me off it though

So ABC's attempting to do a space opera? So far this geek isn't that interested.

the trailer is terrible, mianly the voiceover guys fault. This will probably be very successful even though it looks like a crappy rip-off of Virtuality which will probably never be seen again.
