As you may have heard Thundercats is one of those awesome 80’s cartoons that is going to get a modern day big screen adaptation. Warner Bros. and first time feature director Jerry O’Flaherty, who also worked on the video game, Gears of War, are the ones that are working on bringing the Thundercats to life.
This is yet another one of my favorite childhood shows that I hope doesn’t get butchered by the Hollywood mashine. We now have a glimpse of what is in store for us in this feature film, through some great concept art from the development of the film that movieline got their hands on. Here you’ll see Thundercats renderings of Lion-O, The Pyramid, Third Earth, and Mutant Attack.

lion-o rhymes with hom-o. looks very gayish in a wussified way. too bad
no way, i love the hint of femininity. his costume should me more revealing, like the one on the cartoon, speedos, exposed naval and plunging neckline. what happen to the sword of omens?

Thats bullshit! Peoples forearms are not bigger than their biceps/ triceps! Looks exactly like they just re-drew the gears of wars characters. I still want to see it though.

Looks like weaksauce to me. I was hoping he'd look more like a badass warrior.
CHILL out guys, It's ONLY CONCEPT ART. Nine times out of ten these will chance hundreds of times before they settle for a final render/look.
the way of hollywood now, is to take classic 80’s cartoons with their innocent homo-erotica and give them a queer eye for the straight guy makeover. lion-o does look gay and will probably sound gay. look at optimus prime in the just plain crap transformers franchise. the leader of the auto-bots went from manliest robot thingy ever to a hairdresser. it seems gay is the way, ive no problems with gay but when u destroy my childhood memories for the sake of equality. its stupid. ps micheal bay is a yes man and rumour has it hes been dumped off of the next film, so it should be a good one.
