Check this out! This is like our first real production photo from James Cameron’s movie Avatar! We have seen little glimpses of it, and bad quality leaked photos from the film, but nothing this clear, clean and crisp.
The first photo features Sam Worthington as Jake Sully and his avatar in the background. This image is actually from a scene that we got to see at Comic-Con. This is the scene where he first meets the Avatar in which his mind will be placed. When in his avatar he is sent another planet, Pandora, to work with a mining operation.

20th Century Fox will be holding a special preview of 15-minutes of Avatar on August 21st, in an event called Avatar Day. Click here to read more. Avatar is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18th 2009.

The Avatar looks dumb…the action figure was accurate, but what is the deal with the hair…would've looked better bald.
I wont criticize the movie though since Cameron knows what the hell he is doing.

Ever since Comic Con i've gone from not really being interested to now i can't wait to see what James Cameron has spent a decode creating! The more news and pics that get released the more i want to see this movie!
