The movie based on the Edgar Rice Burroughs‘ novel of the same name has just received its cast and we have the names for you here. Samantha Morton (Minority Report), Dominic West (300) and Polly Walker (Rome) have all been cast to star in the new film that is being produced by Disney. The Hollywood Reporter reports:

Samantha Morton will play Sola the daughter of Tars Tarkas, who is played by Willem Dafoe.

Dominic West will play Sab Than. The prince of the Zodangans who is vying for control of mars.

Polly Walker will play Sarkoja, an apparently merciless Thark.

Taylor Kitsch is signed to play the title character of John Carter who is an American civil war veteran that is mysteriously transported to Mars. The project is due to go into full production next year and we will keep you informed as we learn more.
