Disney’s RAPUNZEL Concept Art

visdev02

Here is some pretty cool new concept that disney has released for the animated film they are currently working on, Rapunzel. I really enjoy being able to get a look at concept art for the movies. It is where the whole design and look of the film starts to take place.

In this new telling of the classic fairy tale, Rapunzel, audiences will be transported to a stunning CG fantasy world complete with the iconic tower, an evil witch, a gallant hero and, of course, the mysterious girl with the long golden tresses. Expect adventure, heart, humor, and hair… lots of hair, when Rapunzel unleashes her locks in theaters for the 2010 holiday

Hope you enjoy the pics below!

I think the age of hand drawn animation is about over. It's sad, but true.

    I think they are stunning..

superme524 doesn't know what he's talking about. As long as the stories are good, hand drawn animation is here to stay. Look at The Simpsons. Or Miyazaki. This movie isn't going to be hand drawn. Final production will be in CG.

Would have been nice if they came up with an original Castle instead of coping ones they have already done.

I wasn't dissing the fact that hand drawn animation is good. I just think that its getting close to the time where almost all the animation we see will soon be done on a computer as opposed to people using a pencil. I personally prefer hand drawn. I just think its sad that we can't have more people using there skills with their hands and a pencil instead of their hands and a mouse of styliss.
