District 9 is one of the summer movies we here at GeekTyrant are most excited to see this year. Everything we’ve seen from the film looks great, and the people I know that have seen it, say it’s pretty incredible. So, like all awesome movies we are excited to see, we plan to hit up the midnight screening at our local theater, and you should as well. Midnight screenings are the best! You get to see the movie with geeks that are just as hardcore about movies as you are. The midnight crowd is the fun crowd.

We thought it would be cool to see the movie with our readers for the midnight show. I know we all don’t live in the same place, but that’s what Twitter is for.

So here is what we have planned:

If you live in the LA area, you can come join us for the midnight screening of District 9. So come hang out and watch the movie with us at the AMC 16 theaters in Burbank CA. We will be giving a pair of tickets away to this Burbank movie showing.

If you don’t live in the area and aren’t able to join us, we urge you to still go out, hit up a midnight screening, and chat it up with us via twitter. We will be twittering until the movie starts. Of course don’t twitter during the movie, discussion will resume after the movie is over. So you can tell us what you thought of it. After we find out what you all thought about the film we are going to put together a review for the site, using YOU’RE twitter reviews about District 9!

How to win the pair of tickets:

The first person that finds us at the theater will get the tickets. If that person comes alone, then the next person that finds us will get the second ticket.

Friday, 12:01 am, but show up early to get your tickets. We will be in the area around 8 or 9 o’clock on Thursday night hanging out.
