James Marsters terrorizes CAPRICA

James Marsters from Buffy and Smallville fame, is being rumored to join the cast of Caprica for SyFy. Caprica is a prequel/spin-off of the acclaimed television series Battlestar Galactica which ran as SciFi Channel’s “flagship” show for the last 5 years until it was “completed” about six months ago.
ThinkHero reports that James Marsters, who is most recognized as Spike on Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel, will play a terrorist by the name of Barnabus. He is rumored to appear in a 3 episode story arc later this season.
I am huge fan of James Marsters and I really hope he actually becomes a more full time character. His original appearance in Buffy was supposed to be a short run as well, but turned into a full time character for most of the series and even went into the final season of Angel. Marsters has also had regular appearances on Smallville and Torchwood.
To answer your next question…. no word yet if James will have his iconic, albeit fake, Brittish accent. I wouldnt be surprised though. We will fill you in as we hear more.

is it just me or was bsg complete and utter garbage?? i tried watching it and was very disappointed – acting, writing, effects etc. id rather watch reruns of the old one with the crappy acting, effects and the same repeated dog fight scenes. at least i knew what to expect and it was ahead of the game for its time.
I loved BSG! The last season, while it annoyed me a little with it's dragging out "who are the final 5" I still loved it. But that's just me I guess.
I'm not sure how I feel about Him joining the cast.
I was a late comer to Buffy etc, and so I first saw him in Torchwood.
I have since seen all Buffy, and While I loved him as Spike, I'm not really sure what to think of him as someone else.
I'll give him a go. Caprica is shaping up to be a very different style to BSG and I'm excited to see where the writers take it. ^_^
I like Marsters and now with the addition of Patton Oswald and a few other rumors of added cast members.Caprica is turning into something pretty cool.
Orangecrush-It's just YOU! Most of the human population has loved the new BSG so you keep watching the old one(which i love too) so you'll be happy and be able to predict whats happening next in the same old lame dog fights.I for one like the element of surprise and shock and BSG offered that and i'm sure Caprica will.Oh and the lame FX on BSG won numerous awards.Real Time CGI kicks major ASS!
@harertospell-it's not just you, they did drag that story out a little but they had to because Ron Moore and company decided to end the show during season 3 i believe and it set some events and changed some other storylines that was going to happen. But it played out pretty well i think.Another thing is that all of the characters were so well developed each one had their own individual storylines going on,which took a while
