It looks like Lindsay Lohan may end up staring in Robert Rodriguez’s Grindhouse film Machete. She said on her Twitter page with much excitement, something was made official today!!!!!!!!!” A couple of tweets later she posts a link to IMDB’s Machete page, with Lindsay Lohan rumored as being in the cast.

I would say that’s a pretty solid hint. She will join Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Jonah Hill, Robert De Niro and Steven Seagal in the cast. I’m sure Lohan is ecstatic about this, because lets face it, her acting career was going nowhere  fast. But the role might be right up her ally. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what Rodriguez has in store for her.

The highly skilled Federale Machete is hired by some unsavory types to assassinate a senator. But just as he’s about to take the shot, he notices someone aiming at him and realizes he’s been set up. He barely survives the sniper’s bullet, and is soon out for revenge on his former employers, with the reluctant assistance of his old friend Cheech Marin, who has become a priest and taken a vow of nonviolence. If you hire him to take out the bad guys, make sure the bad guys aren’t you!

So what are your thoughts on Lohan being cast in Machete?

I think she'll play the daughter from the trailer – sex scene only mixed with vapid dialogue – sounds like cheesy gold
