New ROBIN HOOD Movie Will be Futuristic

The Producers of The Dark Knight and 300 are taking the classic tale of Robin Hood and placing it in the future for a new Warner Bros.  film. There are not a lot of details on the story, but the fact that it is based on Robin Hood should give you a good idea. The story will be set in a dystopian London and center on a band of thieves whose activities restore hope to the city’s embattled population. It is being described as a futuristic action adventure film.

The film idea was pitched by a commercial director named Nicolai Fuglsig, and he has signed on to direct the picture. Apparently this guy blew the producers away with his conception of the project. Producer Charles Roven said:

“His stunning visual presentation blew me away. He has a very clear vision for the film, one that will re-invent and modernize a classic story.”

There have been several adaptations of the story of Robin Hood, and even right now Ridley Scott is currently in the process of finishing up his vision of Robin Hood. It’s safe to say Robin Hood is a pretty popular guy these days. A futurist Robin Hood could be very cool, I’m interested to see how they envision it.

Just to give you a taste of what this director has done here are a couple of commercial that he has directed.
