Robert Rodriguez’s PREDATORS Starts Filming Next Month

It’s been reported that Director Nimrod Antal is scheduled to being filming on Fox’s reboot of Predators, on Sept 28th at Robert Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios in Austin TX.
Produced by Robert Rodriguez, the new film will involve a very intense group of people stranded on a Predator planet discovering unspeakable horrors that are not always from outside their group.
I’m really excited to see how this movie turns out. There is no way it can be any worse than the Aliens Vs. Predator crap. The way Rodriguez talks about doing the film gives me hope, but only time will tell.
20th Century Fox is releasing the sci-fi action-adventure, written by Alex Litvak and Michael Finch, on July 7, 2010.

i was at the Robert Rodriguez panel at comic-con and although he mostly spoke about his kids' involvement in movies (ya know, spy kids and the latest one, shorts) he spoke briefly about machete and predator. he seems pretty onboard and excited about it. he didn't want to delve into many details because he was mostly there to chat about his kids and was trying to keep a PG environment (bummer). but i'm excited! i'm a huge fan of his ever since El Mariachi and Desperado
They are filming here in the Big Island Hawaii. I have yet to see any of the crew in action but I did run into one of the film's stars Adrien Brody at a local health food store. Pretty shocking in such a small town store, I hope the filming brings a small boost to our economy.
