Neil Blomkamp Audio Interview: Talks about DISTRICT 9 Sequel

Recently Neill Blomkamp sat down with SciFiMoviePage to talk about his recent box office success District 9. He also talks about what happened with the Halo film, the preproduction of it and if he would go back to the project. He also talks a bit about Peter Jackson’s current projects. District 9 is Neill’s debut feature film about aliens who are stranded in Johannesburg South Africa. In the interview Neill talks about a potential sequel/prequel to District 9 and that the studio is eager to have another film made. Its obvious that they would. District 9 was amazing. An original story made for a modest budget that delivered massive results. Check out the audio interview below or here.
Did you listen? You should…because it sounds like he wants to do a sequel but that he wants to do it right. I am glad to hear that. I am really glad that he wants to make sure the story works and that it is not just ‘another’ bad sequel. I am a huge fan of Neill’s and have been ever since I saw his short films about 2 years ago. And did you notice that he let the name District 10 slip but jokes that it is just a ‘nickname’ for it and not an actual title….very interesting.
Let us know what you think of this interview and if you want to see a District 9 sequel.

I don't think the interviewers could speak anymore softly, eesh. But a great interview and thoughts from Neill.
