THE KILLING ROOM Movie Trailer

The Killing Room looks like it will be a pretty intense little film, where four people are paid to be involved in a research study that gets a little out of hand. Leave it to those damned classified government agencies to start screwing around with peoples heads and lives. This is based on actual events where a program was developed to test the nature and limits of the human psyche.
Four volunteers sign up for what initially appears to be a typical paid research study, only to discover that they’ve unwittingly become involved with a classified government program that was said to have been terminated nearly two decades ago, in this tense psychological thriller from director Jonathan Liebesman. The allure of a little extra cash proving too powerful to resist, four strangers decide to partake in a paid research study. As the study gets underway, the group is presented with a series of questions, and given a finite window of time in which each individual member must submit a unique numerical answer. At first, the participants all assume that the subject who gives the most obviously incorrect answer will be removed from the experiment, though it doesn’t take long for the group to realize that the correct answer isn’t always the answer that the researchers are looking for. Meanwhile, as the brooding Dr. Phillips (Peter Stormare) attempts to manipulate the study to get the answers he wants, the newest member of his team, military psychologist Ms. Reilly (Chloe Sevigny) begins questioning the ethics of such a diabolical experiment.
Unfortunately the movie is going strait to DVD which kind sucks, but at least we’ll get to see it. The film stars Nick Cannon, Timothy Hutton, Peter Stormare, Chloe Segivny, Shea Whigam and Clea DuVall.

Will check this one out! Looks like a cross between the Cube movies and of course Saw,maybe Saw light or Diet Saw.
Saw it last night. It was pretty good. I feel it should have been a bit more frantic in parts. Because of the nature of the plot, it never really felt out of control, though I could give them that if that's what they were going for. I also thought all the communications chatter was a bit over the top, but that's nitpicking.
Regardless, good film, nice twist ending, decent acting, especially from Hutton. It won't break down any walls, but its certainly worth watching. Left me wanting a sequel, of all things.
Saw this recently, had never heard of it and noticed it was from the director of the awful Darkness Falls and the mediocre Texas Chainsaw Massacre:The Beginning but gave it a go anyway. Honestly it is one of the best films I have seen this year, fantastic acting from all involved, especially Peter Stormare and a pretty terrifying concept that actually seems plausible given the current state of the war on terror.
