WOLVERINE Sequel Gets a Writer and it’s a good one

FOX has brought in screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie to write the script for the Wolverine sequel. Having this guy work on the project definitely is encouraging. I did not like X-Men Origins: Wolverine at all, but this sequel might have hope. If you don’t already know, McQuarrie wrote The Usual Suspects for Bryan Singer, and also helped in the development of the first X-Men film, and most recently wrote Valkyrie which had a great SCRIPT.
Hugh Jackman will reprise the role that made him a fanboy/fangirl favorite. He is also serving as producer on the film, which will follow the storyline set in Japan and features Wolverine battling it up with ninjas as he struggles between whether to follow his animal killer instincts or the life under the samurai’s code of honor and respect.
I hope McQuarrie is able to bring something great to this project, because they just can’t just half-ass it like they did with the first Wolverine film. What do you all think?

Well I first think a big thank you for acknowledging fangirls.
But yeah, this could be half decent.
A decent writer, get a good director on board (or are they going with Hood again?)
Shit, get Singer on board.
I'd be up for it then.
The first film was alright, not good, not as awful as claimed.
It was a fair prequel to the *movies* but it was just trying too hard to fit too many fan favourites in.
You seriously didnt like the origins film? I think you're the only one.
Bring in Psylocke and the Hand!
Only one that didn't like the origins film? I actually have yet to meet anyone who did. It was so bad.
I hated Origins – like Ryan Reynolds says – why deviate from the story?! There is a solid story already written just transcribe it to film don't make up new crap.
This sounds like the best idea for the new film – that and you know maybe more of the actual origins plot (how do I really feel? lol)
oh boy, here we go again… we get excited for a year and a half, then disapointed once we start seeing previews, then completely crushed once we see it. Can Fox fool us AGAIN? Although, McQuarrie is an awesome catch… haha
As long's Gambit is in the sequel…Hell yeah..!!
