A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET Teaser Trailer

Hey Gang! The teaser trailer for A Nightmare on Elmstreet has been unleashed on the world today! I’m sure you’ve heard by now that Wes Cravens classic 1984 horror film is getting a reboot. I didn’t like the idea at first, but the more I read about it, and the more information I came across, the more I started to warm up to the idea. Now that the trailer has launched and I’ve watched it a few times, I have to say I like what I see. It looks like they did a much better job with this one than they did with the most recent Friday the 13th, and Halloween horror movie remakes. The new Elm Street is the same astory as the original movies, but this one dives deeper in the psychology of nightmares and gives a more in depth look at the back story for Freddy Krueger, which is going to be a very interesting part of the film.
A Nightmare on ElmĀ Street was directed by music video director Samuel Bayer, and it stars Jackie Earl Haley as Freddy Krueger, and Rooney Mara as Nancy. Check out the new teaser trailer below and tell us what you think about it!

The scariest part of this trailer was when the words " From Producer Michael Bay" popped up. Those four words always have the ability to send a chill up my spine.
half of me is like, noooooo i want the old freddy back! but at the same time, this looks like it could be really awesome. either way, i will be seeing it. plus, the spastic fangirl in me is like, omfg freddy and rorschach are played by the SAME PERSON! WIN!
and i agree–the michael bay part is a bit frightening.
ok, just watched it a second time on youtube because for some reason these ones dont work very well on my computer, and i've realized that the only thing i'm really going to have to adjust to is his voice. its…different. his face is different too…it seems more gray, i guess. but yeah his voice. excuse me while i go watch the original NES now.
i love that they are actually taking it very seriously, they didn't dismiss how freddy becomes freddy. a few parts in the trailer are shot for shot match ups of the original. i was impressed by the trailer. in the end i hope they change it enough to be original but not enough to ruin one of the best horror movies around. bring back the hay day of not having to show blood and guts and an over abundance of violence to make a scary movie scary.
remember produced doesn't mean anything that big lol, as i told my friend when they got worried. there wont be random explosions threw out the movie. "DONT GO TO SLEEP" Car blows up in the background lol if it said michael bay directed than id be pretty scared.
wTMRrZ I want to say – thank you for this!
wY2Kp1 I want to say – thank you for this!
I think this movie is going to be darker than the original. The original just had a charm that no one can recreate, so why try?
the more I watch this trailer the more I think "re-make Freddy" looks like a scarecrow…anyone else see it?!
all good things
site best
Um not having to show a lot of blood and guts? Do you forget the Johnny Depp blood geyser? One of the best parts of nightmare on elm street even when it went campy was that you kinda rooted for freddy. I mean yes he was a homicidal maniac but kruger was creative, he was twistedly comedic. I love in the 3rd one where he becomes the comic book villian and does a Kruger style superman introduction. Yes sick and twisted but had you rolling in your seat.
Freddy was always a cerebral killer, not just any nightmare but you worst fears, and even when you tried to fight him he would double up. His ability to strike anytime anywhere, like when he was using the mind of the pregnant girls kid to strike in one of the movies. There were goofie parts and yet it mad you wanna see okay how can he get them next.
Haley looks to be about the same body build as Robert Englund. I only have one worry can Jackie earl Haley wear freddy like the second skin that Englund did. Robert Englund IS Freddy Kruger, I mean looking back nobody could have brought that character to life like he did.
I'm mad I didn't hear the piano in the beginning, those eerie notes I always loved that intro but the fact that they kept the kruger jump rope song I can kinda forgive them
Of course there is blood and guts, im saying that back in the day you didn't need a "Saw" Style movie to have a horror movie, you actually had plot and suspense to do it.
