Bruce Campbell will have a Bigger Role in SPIDER-MAN 4

It’s about damn time they give bruce Campbell a bigger role in these Spider-Man movies! Sure it’s been fun seeing him in these smaller roles, but we’ve all been waiting to see him do something a little bit more. At the premiere for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs on Saturday, Bruce Campbell told Access Hollywood that Spider-Man 4 will start shooting in January 2010 and that he’ll have a larger part:
The actor, who has a long relationship with director Sam Raimi via his lead role in the “Evil Dead” trilogy, made memorable cameos in the first three “Spider-Man” films.
However, he may have a bigger role this time around. Bruce told Access that in the next installment in the superhero franchise, he’s been told he has a major part – but didn’t yet know anything about his character.
Not only a bigger role but a major part! Access Hollywood speculates it will be a villainous role, possibly the role of Mysterio – the master of illusion, like fans have speculated, but they have no evidence what-so-ever to back up that claim, but it would still be cool! In the first three films he has always had a cameo as a guy in a different job, each one plays a big role in Peter’s life. In part one he gave Peter the name Spider-Man, in part two he kept peter from going to MJ’s play helping create a bad relationship, in part three he helped with Peter’s wedding proposal. I wonder if they will use that angle, That the characters he has played in the first three films will be the same character, a guy that has had problems finding a steady gig. I don’t know but it’s fun to speculate. I am just happy to here he is going to have a good role in this one.
Columbia Pictures has scheduled the fourth installment for a May 6, 2011 release. Anyone else care to speculate what Bruce might end up doing in Spider-Man 4?

ya! finally BRUCE is getting a bigger par t in a bigger movie ya.
i just want sam to focus on making a GOOD movie…anything that reminds me of the dancing/crying of #3 will not be received well

he would be an amazing choice as Chameleon – but I doubt they would give him it. not a big enough name…. but the geek world would love it
I would say Mysterio is a better fit than Chameleon, otherwise the chameleon really just likes playing Bruce Campbell, not that theres anything wrong with that…heh

He should just be Ash, and come in with a chainsaw for a hand, making snide remarks. I think that might be the only thing that can save this trainwreck that will be SM4.
