The ultra pretty, uber talented and super cool actress Christa Campbell was kinda enough to take time out of her busy schedule and let me bug her for a while, I mean ask her a few tough questions (because I’m a broadcast journalist)! Christa has been in a wide variety of films including Hero Wanted (with Cuba Gooding Jr.), Labor Pains (with Lindsey Lohan) to the upcoming Lies and Illusions (with Christian Slater) and 2001 Maniacs: Beverly Hellbillys. She also has her own celebrity blog over at FEARnet ! So get ready and check out what she had to tell me!
Brian S- You just wrapped filming on 2001 Maniacs:Beverly Hellbillys and it’s now in post-production. Does this pick up where the last one left off or is it a stand alone story? I see a few familiar faces in the the group photo! What can we expect?
Christa- This film is so much wilder than the first, you can expect, more kills, more blood, more gore, and alot more laughs!
Brian S-Do we get more Milk Maiden in this one?
Christa- We get alot more Milk Maiden this time around, Tim said to me that I’m involved in every single kill this time, like the angel of death!
Brian S- That’s so cool Christa! You’re my Milk Maiden and the Angel of Death! I think Tim might be on to something huge putting you in more of the kill scenes! Can we say Franchise killer? Maybe?
Brian S- I see there is no Robert Englund in this one, so how was it working with Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects) and how is his Mayor Buckman character going to be?
Christa- Bill is so cool, he really brought his own flavor to the character, he is a highly educated smart nice man, a true actor dedicated to his craft.
Brian S- Cool, I know he is known for really getting into his characters! I look forward to seeing what he’s done!
Brian S- What’s it like working with Tim Sullivan? Is he crazy or what? He looks like he’s alot of fun!
Christa- Tim is one of my favorite people in the world, he has it together, he thought out every shot in this film, his vision is amazing.
Brian S- He is a cool dude if I do say so myself!
Brian S- Ahmed Best is better known for being Jar Jar Binks from Star Wars, what in the world is he doing with the Maniacs world? How did that go?
Christa- The Maniacs welcomed Ahmed with open arms. He’s really cool, he has some intense moments that gave me chills.
Brian S- A killer Jar Jar Binks on the loose, now that is scary!
Brian S- 2001 Maniacs 2 was filmed in Iowa, How was it? Any cool stories you want to share? Or say hi to anyone?
Christa- I was eaten alive by mosquitos!! But I love Iowa, I had a blast there, I would film there anytime!
Brian S- Yeah I saw your Tweets about your bug bites! I’ll buy you some OFF next time!
Brian S- I’ve seen the trailer for Audie and the Wolf,when does it come out and can you tell us about your character Rachel and what it’s about?
Christa- Audie and the Wolf comes out October 16th on DVD, it’s a fun campy horror comedy, I play Rachel Brock a hollywood starlet who has an unexpected visitor in my home.
Brian S- Sounds cool, I’m adding it to me Netflix Queue!
Brian S-Ok, I’m wanting to see Blood: A Butcher’s Tale. You play a character named Lily, what can you tell me about the movie, when it comes out and your character?
Christa- Not sure when its coming out, this was a different experience, we shot this whole movie on green screen, its also going to be a video game, I loved working with Aaron Douglas, hes a gifted actor.
Brian S-Cool, keep us posted on that one, it looks interesting!
Brian S- Ok,back to Maniacs. I already hear there will be a third Maniacs. Is that true? Can you tell us anything? Is my extra part secured? You know yall have a cult following now and the fans want to know this stuff Christa!
Christa- If you come to Iowa you can be an extra! …lol! I hope we do a third, the fans go wild for this film, because its totally original, it comes out of tims wild head, and he is truly gifted , I’ve never seen anything like it.
Brian S- Well, I’m ready and on stand by if Tim needs a leading extra, as long as I can wear my Geek Tyrant t shirt! Cool promotion there, yall like that?
Brian S- Ok Christa, once again you’ve been very cool to me and the readers. Do you have anything else you want to add or anything I left out?
Christa- Hmm, your a pretty good writer, so maybe..check out my action film with Christian Slater coming out September 29th on bluray and dvd!!
Brian S-Ok, we’ll check out Lies and Illusions on September 29th on DVD.
Christa- We’re having our 2001 Maniacs 2 premiere Friday the 13th of November, if your in L.A., come!
Brian S- Well thanks Christa! I might try and make it out there! Honestly I think I’d feel right at home with you and the rest of the Maniacs!
