We reported a rumor not to long ago that the star of District 9, Sharlto Copley was in talks to star as “Howling Mad” Murdock in FOX’s A-Team movie. It looks like that rumor is now a fact. THR has reported that he and Jessica Biel are currently in final negotiations to join up with Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, and Quentin “Rampage” Jackson as The A-Team.

I think they will both fit nicely into this film based on the 1980’s hit TV show about a special forces team convicted of a crime they didn’t commit who are on the run from government forces. Ridley and Tony Scott are set to produce.

Copley acting debut was in District 9, and he did a great job in the role. If you saw the movie then you knew his career was going to take off, and a movie like The A-Team is a nice little stepping stone for him. It’s awesome that this guys career has just started. Apparently he has great improvisational skills, which is a definite plus for the character Mudock, who is the crazy guy in the group. Well, I guess they’re all kind of crazy aren’t they, that’s why we loved the show! But Murdock is a helicopter pilot who is also suffering, from delusions, memory loss, and hallucinations.

Biel would play the former love of Faceman (Cooper), an Army general who is now pursuing the team.

A-Team starts production in Vancouver this fall. I think the cast has come together very nicely. So, what do you think?
