First Look at Kato from THE GREEN HORNET and other Photos from the set

Hey Gang! The first photos have hit the net from the new version of, The Green Hornet, which is currently shooting in Los Angeles. The first photo below is a stunt double for Jay Chou as Kato in the film. I Guess Jay Chou doesn’t know how to drive? There are also photos of Seth Rogen, Cameron Diaz and the real Jay Chou. The film is being directed by Michel Gondry, and also stars, Nicolas Cage, Edward James Olmos, David Harbour and Tom Wilkinson. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on December 17, 2010.
I have to say I’m not really that impressed with what I see in the photos below. I know they’re just set photos from the set, but I’m just not feelin it, maybe it’s just the fact Cameron Diaz is in it. Ot is it Kato’s mask? I don’t know may this movie was just a bad idea.

It's pretty hard to prejudge these images, as really we have no clue who that "Kato" is, could be a stunt driver for all we know, or maybe the "Original" Kato. it's all pretty much just speculation and not exactly good quality photos. Pretty much still a wait and see kinda deal. I like Rogen, mostly, I enjoyed Jay Chou in the Initial D movie, I adore the Director Gondry, and I am ambivalent about Diaz. So the individual pieces are adding up, it just the end product that still needs to be fleshed out.
Oh God, he looks AWFUL!!! That mask doesn't even look good on his face. Bruce Lee from the TV Green Hornet looked awesome and dangerous in the mask. Check out Kill Bill 1, with those Asian actors wearing the Kato masks, they looked great.
Original Kato was a radio play voice actor, the 1940 serial, Kato was played by Keye Luke (Grasshopper's master in Kung Fu in the 70s and Charlie Chan's eldest son), and Bruce Lee was Kato in the 60s Green Hornet tv show.
Kato was the action hero, the one that gets to drive the cool car, kick and beat up all the bad guys in cool action scenes and throw and use cool gadgets. Green Hornet just sat back, solved the crime and provided the 'explaination' of the events or crime. GH also took the blame since all crime boss believed he's trying to take over the crime business.
doesnt rogan ever shave? and kato looks aztec peru or some shit. doesnt even look asian. what a fukn bizarre looking movie this is becoming – cant wait for more shitty pics. time to go and smoke a blunt.
No Stephen Chow = No Interest.
Not to mention I'm getting tired of Seth Rogen and Cameron Diaz is just a lame actress.
