IT’S ALIVE (2009) Redband Trailer

The It’s Alive remake is just around the corner and the studio has released the REDBAND trailer for it today! The film which stars Bijou Phillips and is directed by Josef Rusnak tells the story of a mother who’s newborn baby cares for something besides traditional momma’s milk and formula. The original It’s Alive was written and directed by Larry Cohen.

I remember the original a little and it was weird, so I’m looking forward to this remake!

From what I've heard you would be better off spending your cash on 'Grace'.

I've already spent my cash on Grace and loved it! It's Alive is just a horror movie, for the fans! The makers aren't looking for an Oscar!

Seriously? Remaking IT'S ALIVE??? I'm 42. I have come to the conclusion that the one thing that really makes me realize I'm not a young buck anymore is seeing every year more and more movies that are remakes of movies that I saw growing up in the 70's and 80's in movie theaters, IT'S ALIVE being one of them. As a rule I despise remakes of the original movies I saw in the movie theaters. It shows the barren wasteland of original ideas that is Hollywood these days. Do we really need a remake of IT'S ALIVE? They have these little circular silver discs called DVD's – buy the original or even Netflix it – definitely worth 90 minutes of your time if anything for a few chuckles – but do we need a whole new movie? Hell no!
