Jennifer’s Body “BLOWS” At The Box Office

So did you go see Jennifer’s Body this weekend? Not a whole lot of people did either so you are not alone! Not even Megan Fox’s good looks and diva attitude could help this movie. All the good parts were shown in the trailers and that’s pretty much it ya’ll. It brought in only $6.8 million and came in at 5th place. After this weeks leak about how Fox acted like a biotch to Michael Bay and then his Transformers 2 crew having his back saying she was very difficult to work with, she might be crawling back to him for forgiveness and maybe an even smaller part in Transformers 3, whenever that happens. It’s not like she’s getting alot of movie offers out there in lala land! With only a $16 million budget Fox will be struggling to make that money back!
On a cool side note, Halloween 2 has brought in over $30 million and has more than doubled it’s budget! And The Final Destination has brought in over $62 million with only a $40 million budget so it’s in the green also. The only reason I’m bringing this up is for horror and sci-fi movies to continue they have to make money and these have! District 9 has also done very well!

the sad thing is its still doing better then Whiteout, with a far superior actress in Kate Beckinsale. In two weeks thats only made 8 million. Whiteout must really sucks, I know the graphic novel wasn't that great.
The good news, buried in the second paragraph, is that Rob Zombie is a solid moneymaker on a small budget. While I have no desire to see any Halloween film (even if Mr. Z is heading it), i look forward to other films he's got in the pipeline.
Jennifer's Body deserves a quick death at the box office. Megan Fox is NOT a star, and needs to go back to bit parts in shiny action fluff and Maxim posters.
the prob with eye candy is that you get sick off of it really quick if you spend too much time with it.
and oh, the creators of juno? get over yourself diablo cody…..you should have dug in and stripped a few more years.

Heh. Yes, that's entirely possible. However, being mindlessly entertained and thinking something is a good movie are two different things. I think films like "The Magnificent Ambersons" or "Jaws" are good movies. "Jennifer's Body" looks like brain candy and there's nothing wrong with that. I don't care if Megan Fox is a diva, if the movie is entertaining I'm fine watching it. Hopefully it won't be a total waste of two hours of my life.
I agree. Like Gwenyth Paltrow in the '90s. If I saw her face on one more magazine cover I was going to scream. I absolutely hate it when the media overexposes someone to the point where they are saturating every possible corner of every possible outlet. That does the star no favors at all, and I think it actually turns potential audience members against them if it goes on for too long.
No doubt Fox's outspokenness hurt this film going in. But the marketing of this films as a Megan Fox Skinemax flick couldn't have helped it capture more of the female audience it needed to gain commercial steam. In fact, if the film had been promoted more in line with this analysis I think I would've given it a shot.

I really hated it, Lately ive been having to go to HORRIBLE movies cause of girls, so its not by choice! Also i saw the Final Destination movie and it sucked really hard! Im tired of bad movies!
i'm really really glad this movie tanked, but i have to say i'm a little surprised. as bad as it looks, i was sure more people would see it all because of the megan fox BS that's going around. thank god everyone's as tired of her as i am.
Mr. Whyte,Whiteout was doomed from the beginning!It had been sitting on the studio shelf for a year or more.Studios just don't know what to do with some of their movies! Making a hard decision of straight to DVD or theatrical release is a death sentence for alot of these movies.I did also hear Whiteout sucked but i do love me some Kate Beckinsale!

Totally. I'm also kind of curious about The Final Destination, but after everyone I know (and Edgar, above) saying it's crap, I may just wait for the DVD.
