We have a new full trailer for Robert Zemekis’ new 3D motion capture film, A Christmas Carol, to show you today! I am actually very excited to see this movie. A Christmas Carol is one of my favorite Christmas stories, and I have honestly enjoyed every film that has been made based on the classic Dickens tale. Zemekis has said that this one is the most accurate adaptation. I guess we’ll have to wait and see, but there is no doubt it will entertain.
Ebenezer Scrooge begins the Christmas holiday with his usual miserly contempt, barking at his faithful clerk and his cheery nephew. But when the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come take him on an eye-opening journey revealing truths Old Scrooge is reluctant to face, he must open his heart to undo years of ill will before it’s too late.
The film stars Jim Carrey as a bunch of different characters, Gary Oldman, and Colin Firth, and it comes out November 6th 2009. Hope you enjoy the trailer below! Make sure to let us know what you think about what you see.
Looks pretty good
I don't think I can stand yet another remake of this story. If Tim Burton did one, then I'd probably see it just to see what he twisted.
I'm pretty stoked. I mean, I loved the Polar Express, I thought Robert Zemekis did a really good job with that and I was definitely skeptical because that's my favorite Christmas story. I think I'll definitely check it out once it's in theaters.
i love this story it seems like Jim Carry is a good fit for scrooge.
God, this looks horrible. The animation/mocap is terrible, and the hair isn't reactive really at all. I cringd while I was watching this…
