Paramount Pictures Confirms PARANOMAL ACTIVITY Release Date

paranormal-activity

Word on the street is this movie is incredibly scary. I myself haven’t seen it yet, but there are a bunch of people out there that say it is one of the scariest films they have seen. It currently has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. I looks like we will get to see for ourselves soon enough. We reported earlier that the film would be released in September, now Paramount confirms that the film will hit theaters September 25th. I have been told that this movie must be seen in the theaters to get the full effect, that watching it on DVD wont cut it.

The film was directed by Oren Peli, and its about a young couple who suspects that their house is haunted by a malevolent entity. They set up video surveillance to capture evidence of what happens at night as they sleep. Their surveillance and home videos have been edited into the 99 minute feature film “Paranormal Activity”.

I am excited to see this movie, I love a good ghost story and with the hype that is surrounding this film, chances are it will live up to our expectations. Check out the trailer below if you haven’t seen it already.

  1. Mann is the Man on September 9th, 09

So are the events real or is that just a marketing ploy ala Blair Witch? I also heard he made the film for $11,000.

  2. Yup. on September 11th, 09

Never believed in the stuff, but this sounds pretty cool.

I'm interested in watching this movie. But if the movie IS as scary as they say it is, then it should not matter if you watch it at the theater or at home. How would it be scarier in a large screening room filled with people?
