I think Penn & Teller are two amazing entertainers! I’ve always enjoyed watching their Showtime series Bullshit!, and I have seen them a few times in perform live in Vegas, which is always a pleasure. Now it looks like they are getting a new TV series over at ABC! The new series is loosely based on their own lives. It will be a one-hour show that stars Penn Jillette and Teller as themselves, as Las Vegas magicians by night, but here is the twist… by day, the duo are reluctant detectives.

Leonard Dick (House, Lost) is writing the project and will executive produce along with Jillette and Teller. Peter Golden is onboard as a co-exec producer, while Warner Bros. TV is producing.

I’m really excited for this show, and if your a fan of Penn & Teller then you are most likely excited for it as well. I’m interested to find out how they go about developing the series. ABC puts a lot of money and a lot of high production value behind most of their series. So this has a really good chance of becoming successfull, especially with a built in fan base.
