TAKERS movie poster is the WORST Photoshop job I’ve ever seen!

Here’s an example of how NOT to put a poster together. Here’s a poster for the upcoming heist drama Takers, from writer/director John Luessenhop(Lockdown).

Takers centers around a notorious group of criminals lead by Idris Elba(Obsessed/The Office), with Paul Walker, T.I.(American Gangster), Chris Brown(Stomp The Yard), Hayden Christensen and Michael Ealy, who continue to baffle police by pulling off perfectly executed bank robberies. They are in and out like clockwork, leaving no evidence behind and laying low in between heists. But when they attempt to pull off one last job worth $20 million, the crew finds their plans interrupted by a hardened detective played by Matt Dillon, who is hell-bent on solving the case.

Say what you will about the cast hip hop stars and the one-two bad acting punch of Christensen and Walker. Let’s not even get started on Brown’s legal woes. I’m more focused on how badly cut together this poster is.

All three guys in the front look like their heads were cut out of a magazine and glued to this poster. I swear Christensen’s photo looks like it was pulled from Attack Of the Clones and T.I apparently doesn’t have a neck. Ealy in the back there looks like he was outside and brought the sun in with him. There are more conflicting light sources here than a techno club. I can understand why Dillon isn’t there, but you really couldn’t get the guys in one room for a photo shoot?

Check out the poster from ComingSoon, and let us know what you think of Takers!

they may have been better off leaving the heads off of most of those, since they look like they are about to fall off anyway…

If it wasn't enough that I won't support anything that includes a dude that beats on women, this laughable poster makes me think the movie itself would be a great steaming pile. Take some pride in your work and don't let your 15 yr old son make your movie posters.

You're definitely right about the poster. I haven't heard anything about the movie yet, but I'll keep an eye out for it. I don't know if I'll see it though.
