Star Wars: The Clone Wars is gearing up for some new episodes. And if you have been feeling that the fight between droids and clones and Jedi has been getting stale, then welcome in the Bounty Hunters.

Bounty Hunters in the Star Wars universe have always been among the fan favorites. These alien mercenaries live by no rules, don’t use the force, and do whatever it takes to get the job done. I have always loved the concept of them in the Star Wars movies. Boba Fett has been a favorite character of mine for many years. I always loved the fact that they had no special powers or secret agendas for galactic dominance, they were just out to make a buck and kick some ass in the process.

IO9 has recently shared some of the character concepts for Star Wars: The Clone Wars newest batch of alien bad-asses.

Clone Wars creator Dave Filoni emphasized that the bounty hunters will add some color to the second season, breaking up the usual clone-versus-drone plotlines. Cad Bane, who will serve as one of the season’s major antagonists, appeared at the end of last season, and this season we will see bounty hunters from other Star Wars media, including The Empire Strike Back’s fearsome, carnivorous Bossk:

I honestly really like the way The Clone Wars animated series has turned out. It is a lot more interesting and has a much more entertaining story than the last 3 films. I know I sound a bit harsh when it comes to Episodes 1, 2, and 3 but I was just very dissapointed. But… I digress.  There are a lot of cool Star Wars projects in the works right now, The Old Republic MMO and the Star Wars live action series are bound to bring some new and exciting adventures to everyone’s favorite Fantasy Space epic.
