Will Batman finally start shooting people?

As you probably know, Batman has never picked up a gun to shoot anyone. He has a policy of not using firearms to fight crime. He has plenty of other homemade gadgets to kick some ass and take the bad guys out. Now it looks like a new comic book that is currently in the process of being developed, but technically it isn’t approved yet. The comic is called Batman: Odyssey, and as you can see in the art from the comic below Batman has got himself a couple firearms, and he’s blasting away. One of the great things about this new comic is the people who are involved with creating it, artist Neal Adams and writer Frank Miller, who are very big names in the Batman comic world.
Adams explains on his website why he is trying to get this Batman story off the ground:
I have never been able to bring my “A” game to Batman, to my satisfaction. Oh, a little here and there, but all out? Never, never. On this project? Yep. This is the Batman I believe in. So what do I, and of course the incredible Frank Miller bring to Batman after all that’s gone before? Well it better be something that’s pretty darn hot, Jocko, right?
He previously revealed that his Batman: Odyssey story is going to be a six to eight issue comic series. The series doesn’t officially exist yet and when DC Comics Executive Editor Dan Didio was asked about it he offered a non-confirmation confirmation.
[S]ince it’s never been officially announced, I can’t really say if anything’s going on with it… And if I had 80 pages in my drawer of it, right now, I still wouldn’t be able to talk about it.

Seconded. Batman's too smart and – in his way – too ethical to use a gun. Besides, it's a copout.
Actually, Batman used to carry a gun waaay back when he was first getting his start. But they stopped. Because it made no sense. Why would Batman, whose parents were killed with a gun, carry a gun at the same time he swears to restore justice, yada yada, to Gotham? Makes no sense. Frank Miller is so one-note anymore. It figures he would come up with this, after All-Star Batman and Robin apparently failed (new issue lag, anyone?).
I hate to say it, but Frank Miller is over-rated as a Batman author. While no doubt his Year One and Dark Knight Returns has some interesting ideas, the most recent Batman and Robin was just pure pulp–just making Batman more and more X rated. Bruce Wayne does not want to kill and does not use guns, this will be sad if this comes to fruition.
There's also another point when Batman fired a gun.
Between the Animated Series / Beyond continuity, Bruce Wayne admits to Terry McGinnis that he had to fire a gun and kill a thug as a last resort in one of his final adventures. After that he stepped aside once and for all until McGinnis donned the cape and cowl… or in this case the jet-pack and cowl.
yeah batman dont need a gun, he's just got tasers, knives batarangs , poison darts, night sticks, bat grappler, and explosives…..but no gun..that would be excessive…
But he use to carry one in BATMAN Year Two writed for Frank Miller in 1987 or something, and was the same gun that use Joe Chill to kill Bruce Wayne's parents. So is not out of mind. at last to me!

Frank Millers time has long come and past. He's like that one kid outside of the sandbox who is crying cause no one will let him play with their toys. And finally he throws such a fit that the parents of all the other kids make their kids give him toys. He was relevant (and good) a long time ago, but now he's just trying to be as edgy and shocking as he can be.
Batman just loses the whole sneaky "Batman" persona with guns….where's the dramatic subtley in blasting off a bunch of rounds?
I love Frank Miller, but really, batman with guns isn't batman at all. its the punisher in tights and a cape/
Bruce should not use guns with bullets. He has used tranquilizer darts in Modern continuity in Knightquest
