The ending we all have seen was not the original ending of the film. In fact, since Paranormal Activity premiered at Screamfest two years ago, there have been a ton of test screenings, and a dozen different endings shot. What we have for you here, thanks to movieweb, is the first ending that was shot for the film. The ending you are about to watch is 100% legit. I think each of the endings I have seen have their certain charms. Check it out below and if you’ve seen the movie, let us know what ending you prefer.

The original ending was a blank white box? I'm glad they decided to change it up.
meh this movie sucked balls anyway…..
the original ending she walks into the room all bloody walks to the camera gives that creepy smile and then we only see from the neck down and she slits her throat. Its disturbing.
I think its the ending they should have gone with.
I think the final ending they went with was the best. The movie was building up getting creepier and creepier, if they ended on anything else besides a big scare it would've been a little unsatisfying.
I like the idea of the cops ending (it's been pulled down so I'm assuming that's it) but it comes across as cheesy. I prefer the idea that it ends with her death because the sequel is about her being loose. With the cop ending, the demon is loose and that's what matters.
Ah well. Any bets on how long until we get a crappy studio sequel?
