The man behind The Descent and Doomsday will take on his own 3D horror flick BURST. Neil Marshal has been brought in to direct the film. The story is a new approach to horror films, at least I am unfamiliar with a story like it. It reveloves around a woman who attempts to escape from her troubles and finds herself in a lodge where, inexplicably one by one, people burst into pieces. Their paraoia soon leads them to discover that the truth of this mysterious effect is far more disturbing then they thought.

The film is being produce by the legendary team of Robert Tapert and Sam Raimi and is written by Gary Dauberman. With Raimi and Tapert behind this, its bound to be a really entertaining and creepily exciting film.

We are thrilled to be working again with Neil Marshall, a modern master of horror, suspense and action. With Neil at the helm of BURST 3D, horror fans are guaranteed one of the most terrifying and innovative experiences of their moviegoing lives.

This actually sounds like it could be really interesting. Tapert and Raimi never fail to deliver when it comes to horror and Marshal seems like he can definetly deliver on this project. We will share more news as we get it.
