Ellen Page Co-Writing and Producing HBO Series STITCH N’ BITCH

Ellen Page, Alia Shawkat, and Sean Tillmann

Whip It star Ellen Page is starting to flex her creative muscles by co-writing and producing a new show on HBO called Stitch N’ Bitch. It will be a single-camera comedy that she will write along with two other young actor’s Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development, Whip It) and Sean Tillmann, a comedian that goes by the name of Har Mar Superstar, he also had a small role in Whip It. They will all executive produce the project as well.

The series follows two painfully cool hipster girls as they relocate from Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood to Los Angeles’ Silver Lake enclave in hopes of becoming artists — of any kind. Page, Shawkat and Tillmann might also star, but a decision about them acting in the new show will be made later.

Sounds like it could be a fun project for them to work on, what do you all think about the idea?

Uh, has Ellen Page actually written anything? I like her as an actress, but as a writer? It's not true that everyone can write– everyone has a story to tell, but not everyone is a writer– this is demonstrated over and over again in Hollywood. I like the show idea tho– will they be filming on location in Silverlake?
