Well isn’t this some incredibly good and happy news! Bloody-disgusting has confirmed 100% without a shadow of a doubt that Ivan Reitman is attached to direct Ghostbusters 3! Reitman was the director of the first two Ghostbusters films so it is only appropriate that he should come back to direct the third. I wouldn’t have it any other way. So as of right now, everyone that was involved with the original film will be back for thirds! My only hope is that Ghostbusters 3 won’t end up being a crappy movie like Indiana Jones 4. I don’t think it will be I am looking forward to some funny ass ghostbusting adventures. It’s also reported that even though Reitman is attached to the project he still isn’t sure he really wants to direct it. So why is he attached if he doesn’t really want to do it? That doesn’t make sense, but he is attached so… Okay, were moving on. As for any details on what the story line for the movie will be, we have this:

Apparently, the sequel takes place when the paranormal researchers “reopen” their ghost removal service after it has been closed for quite a few years.

Ghostbusters is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I’m excited to see another sequel is being developed. I wouldn’t be as enthusiastic about this had Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver not been involved, but since they are, I can’t help but be excited.
