Daybreakers is one of those vampire films that I am actually looking forward to seeing. It’s got a great cast of characters and a really cool and interesting storyline. The film stars Isabel Lucas, Willem Dafoe, Ethan Hawk, and Sam Neil. Edward Dalton is a researcher in the year 2019, in which an unknown plague has transformed the world’s population into vampires. As the human population nears extinction, vampires must capture and farm every remaining human, or find a blood substitute before time runs out. However, a covert group of vampires makes a remarkable discovery, one which has the power to save the human race.

Daybreakers is much different than the vampire films being released, and I like what I’ve seen. It got solid production value. Lionsgate plans on releasing the film January 8th 2010.
