Richard Jenkins Cast in Let The Right One In Remake, FISH HEAD

RICHARD-JENKINS

We previously reported that the two main kids in the story have been cast and will be played by Kodi Smit-Mcphee (The Road) and Chloe Moretz (Kick-Ass). Joining the two youngsters is Academy Award nominated actor Richard Jenkins (The Visitor). Jenkins is a fantastic actor, and he will play the role of the girls guardian. I have to point out that Variety says he is the girls vampire-hunting guardian, but he doesn’t hunt any vampires!? The girl is a vampire and he is her protector and he takes care of her. Sure, he kills other people to do it, but not vampires. Makes me wonder if the people over at Variety have even seen the original Swedish film that the remake is based off of.

If you haven’t seen the original yet(which you should!), it follows a bullied 12-year old boy who dreams of revenge on the kids that pick on him. He falls in love with a peculiar girl. She can’t stand the sun or food and to come into a room she needs to be invited. She gives the boy the strength to hit back but when he realizes that the girl is a vampire he’s faced with a choice.

I loved the original film, it was one of my favorite films of last year, and I’m upset that Matt Reeves is remaking a perfectly great movie. Unfortunately, I know more people will end up seeing this remake before they see the original, if they ever see the original. I still don’t understand why it is being called Fish Head.

Well this guy is a pretty great actor, so that's a plus for this heavily unnecessary movie.

Oh shit, can't they just leave great original movies alone!? Tell you what, everyone who read this comment, including the guys from GeekTyrant:
We need people that love the films or those who go to theaters to not listen to this remake, and no matter what do not see it, and see the original, doesn't matter if they steal it or download it by the web, the point is that we MUST make this one of worse money gainers in theaters so they sotp making remakes.

what is this Fish Head nonsense? The remake of Let the Right one in is actually named "Let me in". they already have promo posters for it with this title.

I'd also encourage everyone to READ THE BOOK. Sure, the movie was awesome, but the actual book is sick, disgusting, disturbing, dark and sweet.

And by the way, Eli is not a girl…

FISH HEAD????? Oh good grief, wtf anyway? Why is it some knucklehead wants to take a perfectly good film which was very masterful in its story and shooting and remake it? It is a shame that many in the states will not see the original film. The Swedish director should re-release the film in the states before "Fish Head" is released.
