Scream 4 is truckin’ forward. David Arquette, Courteney Cox, and Neve Campbell are all coming back to reprise their roles in some capacity. The original screenwriter, Kevin Williamson, has written the script, and it was recently announced that Wes Craven is closer than ever to directing the film, which I hope he does. Now bloody-disgusting got word that The Weinstein Company plans to shoot and release Scream 4 in 3D.

I don’t find this bit of news shocking at all due to the fact that pretty much every horror film is being made in 3D these days. I have a feeling they will have some kind of commentary regarding 3D horror films in the story, which could be fun. The horror movie commentary and satire from the original films is one of the reasons I like them so much. What do you think of of Scream 4 going 3D?
