Eminem returns to the big screen with horror anthology SHADY TALEZ

Rapper Eminem will produce and star in the 3D horror anthology Shady Talez. The film will be his first feature role in seven years, after his well received turn in the semi-autobiographical 2002 film 8 Mile.

The horror flick will be produced by John Davis(I, Robot) and writer-producer Dallas Jackson through their genre partnership banner D.J. Classicz/Davis Entertainment.

Underworld story creator Kevin Grevioux, is co-writing the screenplay with Jackson, which is being styled as The Twilight Zone meets Creepshow, but with a hip-hop twist.

Grevioux and Jacksopn will also turn Shady Talez into a four-issue comic to be released next year through the Marvel Icons imprint.

Shady Talez is a fictional horror comic book that literally sucks its reader into its very pages. Each horror story is a wink at an original classic such as Christine, Aliens, and The Lost Boys while Eminem puts his own dark spin on the genre, playing multiple characters and introducing new stories to the new horror generation.

Who saw this coming??? Certainly not me. I thought Eminem a.k.a Marshall Mathers was holding off on films because he was waiting for the right project. This just doesn’t sound promising. With Davis’ first-look deal at Fox, this has a good chance at a theatrical release, especially with the 3D aspect. But with similarly aimed films like Trick R’ Treat and Dark Country getting the direct to DVD treatment, it’s hard to tell. And those films I liked A LOT.

What do you think of Eminem returning to acting with Shadey Talez?

so basically this is just "snoop dog's hood of horror", or an even older movie "tales from the hood?" I will not be wasting my money on this one.
