First Official Look at Disney’s THE SORCERER’S APPRENTICE
Here we have the first three official photos from the new Disney film, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, which looks nothing like The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. The film is being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, directed by Jon Turtletaub, and stars Nicolas Cage, Jay Baruchel, Toby Kebbell, Alfred Molina, and Monica Bellucci.
The film follows a sorcerer by the name of Balthazar Blake who recruits and trains a young apprentice played by Jay Baruchel to help him fight the evil forces of darkness and an evil sorcerer played by Alfred Molina. The film takes place in modern-day Manhattan.
The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is set to hit theaters on July 16th 2010. I can’t say that I’m very excited for the film. Nicolas Cage looks pretty silly in the images that were scanned by fanboyz. Check out the photos below and let us know what ya think!

No.
No, I don't think so.
No. Just no. You can't do this Disney, you will scare everyone who remembers The Sorcerers Apprentice as a child, because that film was scary as hell, and you will ruin the memory of it as well. Surely you can come up with another name?
How long before we see nick cage doing direct to DVD with billy baldwin?
God. Why does EVERYTHING involve Nicholas Cage these days!? I can't stand him! I don't want to watch movies he's in even if they MIGHT be good or at least interesting!
His hair is a bird
he's in debt. Spends way too much money.
You know what I can't stand? Whiney people who spread their negativity like it was jam on toast. Yes. That would be those of you above me. Perhaps Disney should have chosen a different name to prevent comparisons to The Sorcerer's Apprentice we all know so well. I look forward to this movie because it will have the usual Disney appeal: Charm, whimsy and just good old fashioned magic. For the record Nick Cage looks totally rockstar. The picture doesn't do him justice.
I really don't think that this will be horrible, they just should have called it something else, like "Nick Cage shouldn't have long hair."
