SMALLVILLE 2-Hour Justice Society Movie Event scripted by Geoff Johns

Smallville fans should get pretty excited for the latest news that the highly-anticipated Justice Society themed two-part episode will be combined into a two-hour movie event set to air on Jan. 29.
These are the two episodes written by comic book author Geoff Johns titled Society and Legends and will feature such DC Comics characters as Stargirl, Hawkman, and Dr. Fate. They were originally designed to air separately. But, according to Smallville insiders, CW execs felt they could get more mileage out of combining them.
I think they’re right! These are the episodes that the fans have been waiting to see, and I’m glad they are combining them. Now we won’t have to wait another week to finish the story off once it’s started. We can now watch it all in one sitting.
I don’t know if you’ve heard, but Smallville viewers are steadily increasing, if this keeps up we might actually get to see a season 10.
What do you think about the Smallville two-hour event that’s been planned?

I think this was a smart move on the CW's end…it'd give the fans more of a reason to stay in Friday to watch Smallville…and to create even more hype about the show to bring in newcomers/higher ratings. I've been a fan of the show since day1 since i was in middle school, now 21 and out of college I'm glad how the series turned out. Sure, there's been some ups and downs through the series, but in the end, with new writers and producers, this season has finally taken shape the way Smallville needed to end up being like to make Clark more of the hero he needed to be. now all we need is Lex to return, and Kara!
It'd also be nice to see all the actors in a real movie in theaters to finally end Smallville when the time comes…cause we all know Tom Welling would make a sick big screen superman!
I'm thrilled. I've been with Smallville since season 1, and surprised they kept it up this much.
YAY! I love the series, the story development, and casting.
I have been watching "Smallville" since season one and I am really excited for this two-hour event, but I'm definitely not excited about waiting 'til January to watch it.
On a side note, I think the only way a Season 10 will happen is if they convince Tom Welling to come back for one more season.
