Here’s the first trailer for the action horror film The Final Storm, from German helmer Uwe Boll(House of the Dead/Stoic). It’s one of the many apocalyptic themed movies coming down the pipes, but sadly, from the trailer it looks like the least promising. The first red flag… it stars Luke Perry. But I’ll have to wait until I see more. The film also stars Lauren Holly, Steve Bacic and Cole Heppell.
The Final Storm will begin hitting theaters November 5th. Check out the synopsis and trailer below, and let us know what you think!
Biblical rain, dying animals, and a blood red moon; clearly, all is not well on the quiet farm in the countryside where Tom(Bacic) makes a living with his wife Gillian(Holly) and their young son Graham(Heppell). Before the cable and power goes out, glimpses of weather related catastrophes on a global scale are hinted upon. Amidst these eerie signs, a soft spoken man named Silas(Perry) stumbles onto their property, sick and cold. Even more disconcerting is how quiet Tom notices everything is… neighbors, cars, birds, crickets, all are nowhere to be seen nor heard. According to Silas it’s not so much as the beginning of the end, but in fact the end itself, and they’ve been left behind.
As Tom goes about things in denial, believing that the flooding rains have simply evacuated the town, he shuts out those closest to him, allowing Silas, perhaps the only other man left alive, to grow closer to the emotionally starved Gillian and Graham. But the unsettling evidence cannot be ignored and Tom struggles with the horrifying truth: maybe it is the apocalypse. The rapture. The end of days. And they’re all that is left of humanity. As Silas slowly reveals his true colors with his murderous past, and lust for Gillian, the tension between the men builds until an explosive showdown occurs, with Tom defending his family, and fighting for their survival, and perhaps the survival of all mankind.

hmm…I'm skeptical. Uwe Boll doesn't have the best track record
The first red flag isn't that it stars Luke Perry, it's that it's a Uwe Boll film. That's the only red flag you need, that guy does not make good movies.

Yup. I agree with alla yuhs. This trailer just looks like someone just took a camera outside and accidentally left the record button on. Before long, the camera operator happened to see that he captured something that was really meant for the news, but has instead just added some cornnie music to it and called it a movie through photoshop additions of Luke Perry into it. If you look closely, you'll see how bad the photoshop cropping is within the trailer. I mean it makes Luke look like he's a bad actor. Oh wait a min. Luke is a bad actor!

Amy must be jealous cause she can't come up with a more creative way to defend her man, Luke Perry. And as for Siskel + Ebert, they done gone. And I get paid to weigh in on movie reviews. I'm sure Amy can't cause her English is relayed like a 3 yr old boy on Jealous steroids. And by the way, the forum is designed for opinions. In order to pose an opinion. One doesn't need to dog someone else in order to make a point. This becomes from a logical falacy of debates. But Amy should know this already right? Oops, I guess she doesn't. Too bad, Amy.
