Donald Glover Releases New Rap Album Under Alias "Childish Gambino"

 

Not sure if this is big enough news to go on the main page, but actor Donald Glover (DERRICK Comedy, TV's "Community," Mystery Team) has been rapping for a while under his alias Childish Gambino, and yesterday he released a new album called Culdesac.

I had the chance to interview Glover and the rest of the DERRICK Comedy crew a while back, and they were all really cool people. I haven't yet listened to Culdesac because I downloaded Childish Gambino's entire discography and am listening to it all in order as I type this. Glover has four album/mix tapes out: Poindexter, I AM JUST A RAPPER, I AM JUST A RAPPER 2, and Culdesac. (Fellow DERRICK member DC Pierson also appears on a few tracks.)

Anyway, if you're a fan of hip hop music, I'd highly suggest checking out Childish Gambino and spreading the word about Glover's moonlighting gig. Here's a video of him rapping original lyrics over Drake's "Over," recorded at his first live show in NYC last week.
