The movie horror genre is one of my favorites. I've enjoyed watching horror movie ever since I was kid. You can read through a list of horror movies that freaked me out when I was a young tike, right here. It's hard to scare me these days when it comes to horror movies. The last one that really got me was The Conjuring. In my opinion, director James Wan is one of the only directors out there right now that knows how to make a solid scary movie. There is a certain formula to these kinds of films that Hollywood tends to recycle, but it's ok to change things up and try something new. Cinema Sins released a video called How to Fix the Horror Movie Genre in 10 Steps, and they make some really good points.
