Venkman here with some pretty ass sucking news. For years David Fincher has been trying to get this 'Rendezvous With Rama' by Arthur C. Clarke made into a movie with Morgan Freeman attached to star. This movie would have been a great film and still could be, but not any time soon, and not by David Fincher. Firstshowing.net dropped this turd on the web community today when they asked Fincher what was going on with the project. Here is what he said:
"It looks like it's not going to happen," said Fincher. "There's no script and as you know, [Morgan Freeman's] not in the best of health right now. We've been trying to do it but it's probably not going to happen."
Morgan Freeman was in the bad car accident not to long ago so that must be still taking it's toll on him. Not much can be done without a script either. Sounds like there was a lot of talking about it, but no action taken. Thats to bad.
I really hope that one day a decent production will come together for this film. In the mean time if you haven't read the book maybe you should read it.
