Snipes has the Soul for James Brown

Its fair to say Wesley Snipes has had some massive hits like Blade, US Marshalls and Art of War but then he has had his really poor films like Art of War 2 and Liberty Stands Still so you he needs a good next title. The problem at the moment about making films is you can't really do it from Jail and thats where he is at the moment on a Tax charge, but it doesn't stop him from being mentioned to do a massive film about the life of James Brown.

Spike Lee wants Wesley Snipes to play James Brown should his biopic of the singer ever get off the ground.

The director told King magazine that he believes Snipes is a "phenomenal actor" and will bounce back from his current tax problems.

"If my James Brown picture ever gets made, he'll be playing James - and he'd kill in that, without a doubt. He still has chops," said the Malcolm X helmer.

I can actually see him in that role and playing it well but if the sentence stands we might be waiting a long time to see him in it!
