Star Wars Force Unleashed to get the Big Screen Treatment?

I love this new Star Wars game. I have had a hell of a fun time playing it and watching the story move forward. I've been playing it since it has come out and I have no problems with it.

So it looks like this most recent Star Wars Video game has a chance of being made into a new full on Star Wars film! I am all for it, the fact that the story is great has sold me. If George Lucas gets a good writer and director to take on the task of ‘Force Unleashed', I will drive the Stars Wars Force Unleashed bus.

The News Comes from LA Times and here is what project leader Haden Blackman has to say about the possible film:

" it's not impossible. Never say never. George [Lucas] has looked to tell new 'Star Wars' stories through the games and with the entire Star Wars Expanded Universe, and then he has also shown a willingness to let the characters come into the films. Look at Aayla Secura, a creation in the [Dark Horse] comic books who became part of the theatrical films."

If the "The Force Unleashed" does become a movie, Blackman said it would be a testament to the priorities and sophisticated ideas of his team, who he says puts storytelling and game-play on equal footing and emphasized "the artistic nature" of the quickly changing video-game medium. "It's an incredible time," he said, "to be telling powerful stories in this fairly young medium."

This film would make a great story bridge between episodes 3 and 4. I won't be surprised if this actually goes down. While playing the game I keep telling myself how awesome this would be as a movie. Especially if they finally fully realize the power of the force like they do in the game. Look at the concept art above. How awesome would it be to see that on the big screen. I for one would love to see this movie, especially if he gets someone else to do it.
