Mickey Rourke may play Crimson Dynamo in 'Iron Man 2' Now with a extra drop of Sam Rockwell!

Well, I guess this whole Wrestler movie has really worked out in Mickey Rourke's favor. Ealier today we reported that he would join Sly Stallone in 'The Expendables' now we get word that Rourke might join up with Marvel Entertainment, Jon Favreau, and Robert Downey Jr. for 'Iron Man 2'. Its actually been a while since we have had any Iron Man news so this is more than welcome. I think Mickey Rourke would work perfectly as Tony Starks alter ego villain Crimson Dynamo. If you are not familiar with Crimson Dynamo he is described as "Tony Stark's Russian alter ego, a heavily tattooed bruiser who is in the arms trade and battles Iron Man in his own nuclear-powered armored suit."

As of right now Rourke is just in discussions for the role, but I think everything will work out in favor both everybody. The script is still currently being worked on and is a guarded secret being protected by Blackwater.

It looks like that Sam Rockwell has made the list of stars that may join the Iron Man production. There is also now speculation all over the place about who will play who. Not only could Rourke play Crimson Dynamo but he could also play Whiplash.

As for who Sam Rockwell could play the character Justin Hammer has been thrown out into the wind. Hammer invented a device called the hypersonic scan transmitter, which allowed him to take control of Iron Man's armor. Angered that he had lost a lucrative bid to Stark Industries, Hammer took control of his armor and forced him to kill the Carnelian ambassador. Since then, Hammer has been one of Stark's primary adversaries, coming up with endless evil schemes over the years.

I am sure things will be clarified soon enough. In the mean time this is all positive news for Iron Man 2. If this is all true, then I think the film is going in the right direction. Your thoughts?
